Henry lee Lucas, who has confessed to killing 150 women in 35 states took the witness stand in his trial 11/9 and sobbed as he admitted he stabbed his teenage lover to death but denied it was a sex crime like the dozens he has confessed to throughout the United States. Lucas said he stabbed Frieda “Becky” Powell with a 10-inch butcher knife and alter cut her into numerous pieces and scattered those pieces around the field.

In 1998, the Texas Board of Pardon and Parole voted to commute Lucas’s death sentence to life imprisonment, in accordance with Governor George W. Bush’s request, who believed that Lucas did not commit all of the murders for which he was convicted.

Henry Lee Lucas died in 2001 heart failure at age 64.

We was in the field drinking. We argued for a long time and it was hot. I took my clothes off and laid down on the blanket. Becky took her clothes off except for her bra and panties. And we kept on arguin’, cussin’ each other.

Finally she hit me in the side of head and before I knew what was happening, I just stabbed her with the Knife. I just picked it up and brought it around and hit right in the chest with it. She sort of sat there for a little bit, then dropped over. She was the sweetest thing that ever happened to me and I just killed her…
